How it all came about.

A few years ago my son joined an American Football Team here inthe United Kingdom. Now as you probably know over here it's classed as aminority sport. What that means if you play the game in reality is that there isvery little sponsor money due to the low appeal of the sport.

Like most fathers I was happy to help out by taking him to thegames and training. After a while I got a bit more involved as I was asked if Iwanted a more active part in the team. Now, I don't know the first thing aboutAmerican Football but I was keen enough to say yes but just let me be in thebackground.

Anyway, to cut a long story short I was asked to be the fundraiser. Easy enough I thought, I can make money for myself and my business so itcan't be that hard......what a mistake. You see asking for money and givingsomething of value is quite hard, but asking for money and not giving anythingin return is almost impossible.
